BIO
Ryan Jacob is a Billboard featured British American classically trained musician (piano), songwriter, producer, and DJ. He also plays the guitar and is an Avid Certified Pro Tools Expert whose skills span across multiple genres including pop, EDM, and Latin.
He has been mentored since the age of 13 by multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning engineer Luca Pretolesi (Skrillex, Drake, J Balvin, Diplo), and currently works with Studio DMI on select production projects.
At age 14, he released his debut single "Back To You" under the artist name "Astrojaxx®", which charted 23 on the NACC Top 30 Electronic Chart and was premiered by Your EDM. He then released "Universe" featuring Argentinian artist Mechi Pieretti along with an acoustic version that was debuted on Spotify's New Music Friday Latin and featured by Billboard.
He was selected by The Recording Academy/GRAMMY Museum starting at age 15 as a participant in their music production and audio engineering career tracks at USC Thornton School of Music.
Ryan's recent focus has been working on writing and producing pop records. He has worked with numerous artists, writers, and producers, including Karra (Sam Feldt, Steve Aoki, Timbaland, KSHMR), Hannah Boleyn (Billie Gillies, John Summit), JBACH (Chri$tian Gate$, Nicky Youre), Taylor Sparks (Randy Jackson), and Kevin Wild (Bad Royale, Major Lazer).
He frequently performs live playing keys and guitar supporting various artists, and participates in songwriting camps, most recently at Tileyard London and Atlantic Records New York.
In 2022 he was invited to join LAAMP, Stargate's collaborative mentorship program in Los Angeles, where he was mentored by Mikkel Eriksen and Tor Hermansen in an elite program of creatives.
Ryan is presently studying for his BFA in Recorded Music at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology at The Stern School of Business.
